Jill Madison has 15 years of opera, musical theater, and choral performance experience. She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, where she also taught voice as a graduate assistant. Jill’s opera credits include The Countess in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme and Mrs. Gleaton in Carlisle Floyd's Susannah. She also originated the role of Tess in Eden Casteel’s All Marriages Are Like That for Michigan Opera Training Program. Oratorio credits include soprano soloist in Brahms' Deutches Requiem, Bach's Cantata 10, Faure's Requiem, Mozart Requiem, and Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, and the choral soprano solo in Eric Whitacre's Berlin Preminere of Paradise Lost. Since relocating to Tri-Cities WA in 2010, Jill has been active in the local arts community, performing with Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre, Mid Columbia Mastersingers, and CBC Summer Showcase. She has music-directed productions for MCMT and was a conducting intern for MCM. Previously, Jill was the music director for the female acapella group “Ladies First”.
Jill Madison brings a special skill set to Magnolia Magnolia Studio that makes her an especially good fit for adult recreational singers and high schoolers pursuring STEAM programs. Jill has degrees in music and engineering, and is employed full-time as an engineer in Tri-Cities WA
