Heather Hull Hart
Heather is accepting a limited number of students for individual lessons in voice, violin, or piano. Heather Hull Hart is an accomplished music instructor, choral director, pianist, violinist, vocalist, and musical director, with over 25 years of professional music experience. She earned a Master of Music (MM) degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Washington, and a BA in Music (Violin and Piano) from Northwest Nazarene University in Idaho, and was accepted into the doctoral program at U.W.'s School of Music. Heather began her private music studies on piano and violin as a young child, and voice as a teenager. She’s been playing violin in symphonies since the age of 10, including Tacoma Youth Symphony, Boise Philharmonic, Northwest Symphony Orchestra (Seattle), and Mid-Columbia Symphony. She has been singing as a soloist and in choirs since early childhood at schools, universities, and churches. Heather won numerous awards in youth music competitions and auditions in three fields (violin, piano, voice). Her past professional experiences include: Music Director for churches (choirs for children, teens, adults, and instrumental ensembles), Music Instructor of piano classes at Columbia Basin College, Choral Director of the Columbia Chorale, Music Instructor for private violin, piano, and voice lessons, Music Director for high school and college musical theater, and children’s church musicals, Accompanist for numerous choirs, ensembles, soloists, and churches, and was the Artistic Director of "Forte!", a premier regional show choir, for 3 1/2 years. She is currently a Music Instructor for Familiaris Fine Arts (a homeschool arts program), and the Accompanist for the Mid-Columbia Boys' Choir. She is married to Harvey, and they have two young sons named after Irish saints.
