Nathan Lee Shoemaker teaches all styles of guitar (acoustic and electric), mandolin, and electric bass.
Nathan was born and raised in Kennewick, WA. He graduated from Columbia Basin College with his Associates in music theory. Nathan then graduated with honors from Seattle Art Institute in 2000 with a degree in audio engineering. In addition to a lifetime of playing guitar, Nathan has fifteen years experience teaching guitar lessons and twenty years as a guitar luthier.
Nathan has worked as a guitar technician on tour for Weezer, Loudermilk, Dashboard Confessional, and other local and national acts. Nathan’s passion for all styles of music sets him apart from other local guitar teachers. Nathan is knowledgeable across all facets of music… from playing to writing to recording to live performance. He is also the owner and recording engineer of Extraction Recording Studio. You can see and hear Nathan play around town as a member of local country band The Golden Ponies and as host for the Tri Cities only "Songwriters in the Round" events. He also owns and operates The Guitar Trade, stringed instrument repair.
